We woke this morning with the dim light of daybreak still trying to break the never-ending darkness of the night..

After enjoying a very silent cup of coffee, with half the team still half asleep; we headed out to feed the horses..

And from that moment until the one we started the engine; the entire morning was one mad rush.. Trying to pack everything, whilst keeping space for Marais and JanPaul in the back of the bakkie, proved to be more difficult than anticipated; and resulted in them being fitted in the back like sardines, in between the boxes, bags and other equipment..

At final last with the fencing securely fixed to the roof; and all three horses loaded; we said our goodbyes and took on the long road to Koffiefontein..

We started off in the hot sun; driving in the heat for quite some time; before the clouds saved us and, with the help of a few drops of rain, effectively lowered the ambient temperature..

Arriving at our resting place for the evening, The Pony Club, we were once again greeted with a light drizzle.. Our gratitude goes out to Tannie Wilma at the NG church, who helped us a lot, as well as to Frikkie Grobler, who so graciously offered us a place to lie our heads..

After sorting out our horses with feed we proceeded to unpack everything again, in order to repack it more properly and organised without the horses in the trailer..

Hans and Marais then went on to clean out the trailer, while JanPaul and Gert gave Zadok a good bath..

Just as the sun went down, we got together for prayer and communion; asking for His complete guidanceand blessing over HIS Ride..

After that we went into town to treat ourselves to a proper farmstyle "steak-egg-and-chips"..

Now we are busy packing our saddle bags; with Hans busy sorting out the bakkie's cab; as well as planning his itinerary for tomorrow..

Hoping to get to bed early; for we have a early start tomorrow morning.. Although sleep might not come that easily as everyone is jittery with anticipation for the unknown future at our doorstep..
